GEOPOLITICAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CHALLENGES IN THE SEMICONDUCTOR INDUSTRY

HOW TO SECURE THE FUTURE?

In collaboration with the U.S. Department of State and various partners in research, geopolitics, software development, and component procurement, our experienced speakers highlighted past and current developments to gain a better understanding of the impact of chip-based high technology on the cultural, political and economic situation of open democracies. This was followed by approaches to solutions aimed at making supply chains more independent, reducing costs, saving CO2 emissions, energy and raw materials and, above all, operating more sustainably. The speakers are all absolute experts in their field and offer insights into a world that is unique and extremely valuable, especially against the backdrop of hybrid conflicts.

Our blog philosophy

What makes the Comsit blog special

As CBDO of ComSIT, I am responsible for the strategic development and project management of the company and can draw on many years of journalistic experience in the areas of technological and geopolitical developments, geostrategy, digital innovation and war reporting. I continue to actively pursue my passion for journalism, but the focus of my professional career is on project management, particularly in high technology (IT, semiconductors, automotive, energy).

My extensive experience as an entrepreneur, in project management, in administration, in sales and in specialized journalism, combined with intensive stays abroad in Asia, the trouble spots of the Middle East and North America, have led me to the conviction that technology must be at the heart of a sustainable change in our way of life. Only if we take global factors such as technological progress, geopolitical developments, conflicts and climate change into account can we survive as a society in the long term and conserve our planet’s resources.

I firmly believe that redefining business practices, particularly in the field of electrical engineering, can lead to the sustainable use of previously unused resources – a win-win situation for us all. In this context, our blog offers a variety of thought-provoking content, including interviews, essays, articles and analysis.

In my role as a manager at ComSIT, I enjoy working with great engineers and managers to develop new projects and bring them to market. With our blog, we want to express ComSIT’s sustainable and green philosophy and promote the exchange of ideas.

If you have any questions about my blog posts, I will be happy to answer them by e-mail as the blog’s editor-in-chief and look forward to any meaningful discussion, with best regards,

Simon Jacob
